The Adelaide Hills Wine Region gets ready to host the biggest winter event in the state, with over 30 Adelaide Hills wine producers and partnering venues all charging their glasses in celebration of the region's renowned cool-climate red wines.
While the festival runs 26-28 July 2024, there is a bus loop service running on the Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th from 9am-5.30pm, departing from Adelaide Central Bus Station in Franklin St, Adelaide.
The $65 ticket includes an Adelaide Hills Winter Reds Riedel glass to keep (your entry to GA events), wristband, bottle of water, and transport to three general admission events and return. There are 3 bus route loops on Saturday and 1 loop on Sunday, with 3 buses per loop. Book your tickets here.

Kick the festival off with Winter Reds: The Shiraz Social Feast at Howard Vineyard, enjoying a five-course menu with a 3.5 hour selected drinks package from 6.00pm-10.00pm. Tickets cost from $140.

At Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard, its annual Pinot In The Dark dinner event features 10 consecutive vintages of its premium S&G Pinot Noir. Enjoy an indulgent 5-course feast, paired with our S&G Pinots, by the fire and candlelight, hosted by owner and vigneron Garry Sweeney, who will be joined by their winemaker, from 6.30pm- 11.00pm. Start Saturday with ORSO Winter Reds Takeover at Shaw + Smith Tasting Room from 12.00pm-4.00pm. Each ticket includes your choice of winter warming dish by ORSO of Kensington alongside the Shaw + Smith Aged Release Winter Reds Flight featuring current vintage and aged release Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Tickets cost $65.
For the Pizza & Smores Masterclass from 12.00pm-5.00pm, join a guided pizza masterclass with LOT.100 chefs, DIY smores around the fire, and 6 wine tastings with the Vinteloper team at Lot 100. Tickets cost $150.
Cosy up and boogie on down at Anvers Fireside Blues & Brews. The Saturday evening party from 6.00pm-late will be the highlight of the weekend, with Max Savage as the headline act. There's a paddock-to-plate menu playing with smoke, BBQ meats, and wood fired eats. Tickets (show entry and 1 wine tasting on arrival) cost $45.
Sip and savour your way through an evening of Watkins Wine exquisite wine, and experience a beautifully curated, long table three-course menu of local produce at Watkins Heritage Wine Dinner with Josh De Hass from 6.00pm-10.00pm. Tickets cost $140.

Immerse yourself in winter beauty at Bird in Hand for their Art, Wine & Fire event where you'll enjoy their finest red wines in the fire-lit Barrel Hall, paired with hearty snacks. Indulge in flame-grilled flatbreads filled with slow-cooked lamb by Chef Jacob Davey. Explore the terraced gardens, admiring sculptures and artworks synonymous with the winery from 11.00am-5.00pm. Kick back to Vines & Vinyl at Simon Tolley where you can chill out to DJ Gumshoe, enjoy a juicy lamb on spit and smoked chicken wings by Smoke Syndicate and indulge in mulled wine and loaded hot chocolates from 11.00am-5.00pm. Tickets cost $20.
Book a long lunch at Deviation Road x Lost Phoenix Farm including hearty winter fare from the team at Lost Phoenix Farm and your favourite Deviation Road sparkling and red wines. Live music and open braziers will keep you dancing and warm all afternoon. Your ticket includes a keepsake Riedel glass, a glass of wine on arrival plus your choice of either a entrèe and main for $75, or entree, main and dessert for $90 from 11.00am-5.00pm.
The annual Karrawatta Dairy Block Party featuring Duncan Welgemoed event is back. Feast on beef short rib rendang with ginger rice and raw coconut or vegetarian sweet potato massaman with ginger rice, rocket, boiled peanuts, and chilli vinegar, paired with a glass of Adelaide Hills Dairy Block Shiraz. Enjoy the live jazz duo as the fires roar to keep you warm from 12.00pm-4.00pm. Tickets cost $79.
Join Pike & Joyce from 12.00pm-5.00pm for their Journey of Wine & Cheese with Section28 Artisan Cheeses, experiencing a 5-course degustation lunch paired with exceptional Adelaide Hills reds including museum stock. Tickets cost $175.

Indulge in Sidewood's Charred Long Lunch, comprising an 8-dish feed-me menu of shared plates of produce sourced within 3km of Sidewood's cellar door by their celebrated chef, Jamie Carter. Food will be matched with Sidewood’s premium rose sparkling & red wines, finishing off with the 22 year old Tawny and Sparkling Shiraz. Enjoy entertainment all afternoon from 11.00am-5.00pm. At the Feral Feast at Ngeringa, the four-course, long table lunch from 12.00pm-4.00pm by Shannon Fleming of Lot 100 and Forgotten Seasons commences with a guided tasting of its Pinot Noir and Syrah Single Vineyard new release wines. A feast with an element of masterclass, discover first hand the delicious culinary uses for feral animals and plant ingredients alongside Ngeringa’s own estate-grown biodynamically grown produce.
