When you think of honey, you most likely think of bees, but what's another product they're famous for? Beeswax!
If you're visiting or staying in the Mornington Peninsula region over the upcoming school holidays, your kids will love learning how to make beeswax candles by doing a simple and fun beeswax candle-making activity at Pure Peninsula Honey in Moorooduc.
Beeswax candles are safe, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic. They are biodegradable and burn cleanly, with little smoke since they aren't oil-based like paraffin candles - so they're ideal for those with allergies.
You'll receive simple instructions and equipment to make beeswax candles with your kids (please note: children must be supervised by an adult). There is a maximum of five participants per session.
The beeswax candle-making activity is held seven days a week during the Christmas school holidays from Tuesday 26 December 2023 (Boxing Day) through to Sunday 28 January 2024 making them an entertaining and novel boredom-buster for the kids.
Tickets cost $8.95 per person. Book your tickets here.
